Experienced Events Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced individual to join our busy and hardworking Events Team.
 
The duties for this position include dealing with enquiries via email and telephone, through to organising weddings and corporate and private events at Prested Hall. The successful applicant will need to be involved at each stage of the planning process as we pride ourselves on providing a very detailed and personal service. The Event Manager’s role is to deal with the initial enquiry, organise viewings with prospective couples or corporate representatives, hold regular planning meetings to ensure the event goes smoothly and run the event on the day.
 
The position is approximately 40 hours per week spread over 5 days out of 7 and will involve some evening and weekend work. The applicant would need to be flexible with their shifts as rotas often change at short notice to accommodate appointments.
 
Applicants must be 18 or over due to licensing laws. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Duty Manager
We are looking for an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our management team at Prested Hall. As a Duty Manager, you will play a full role in the day to day management of this beautiful 14 bedroom boutique hotel, with 4 function rooms and extensive grounds. The ideal candidate will be able to work with, and lead, an experienced team of staff, and have a very ‘hands on’ approach to their work, leading by example. We are very focused on offering a friendly, relaxed, professional and discrete service, and are proud to receive such glowing reviews from our guests. You would be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining our expected levels of service.
 
Other duties will include stocktaking, ordering of supplies, the training of new employees, cash and credit card handling, taking reservations, dealing with enquiries, ensuring the safety and security of staff and guests and other related tasks.
 
The successful candidate will have proven experience within a similar role, be flexible with regards to shifts and have their own transport, due to location and shift patterns.

Bar & Waitressing Staff
8 – 32 hours per week – for our weddings, functions and hotel dining room, experience preferred. Please note that you must be over 18 as the role may involve the serving of alcohol.
