Our gym is not of the noisy, posy, intimidating variety. It is a very well equipped fitness centre, with friendly, caring, efficient, responsible qualified fitness instructors.
We welcome people of all ages and fitness levels and enjoy promoting a healthier lifestyle for all our members.
We do not pressurise people to join the gym we would rather they took their time to decide if Prested is their kind of place.
We offer every new member a thorough initial induction (lasting about one and a half hours), a personalised exercise programme, which is monitored continuously, and a programme of motivational sessions and 6-weekly reviews.
The gym consists of 9 heavy-duty treadmills, 6 upright and recumbent bikes, 4 Concept 2 rowing machines, 5 cross-trainers, a range of fixed weights (resistance machines), plus an extensive selection of free weights. Our treadmills, bikes and cross-trainers all have iPod docks and 10” TVs with Freeview channels. We have Swiss balls and steps, and for members who want to try another approach to fitness, we have a range of classes in the studio – please view Club timetable.
We also offer supervised PowerPlate vibration plate training and exercise – please see session rates here.
